Defence Legal Advisors are part of the ongoing Law Association Annual General Meeting and Conference being held in Livingstone.
The four-day Conference, which was officially opened yesterday by Minister of Mines, Honourable Paul Kabuswe,has been marked by a significant panel discussion featuring Defence Legal Advisors, who explored their contributions to economic development in Zambia.
The panel included Colonel Mwizukanji Namwawa, Director General – Army Legal Services Branch, Colonel Nancy Mulenga, Chief of Administration – Zambia National Service and Lieutenant Colonel Jaqueline Milanzi, Legal Counsel – ZAF Centre of Advanced Learning.
Each panelist shared insights from their respective military institutions, emphasising the critical need for collaboration with private sector partners to further develop the country’s military industrial complex.
The session drew attention from key figures, including the Learned Attorney General, Mr Mulilo Kabesha, who sat in the audience.
The leader of the Bar commended the Defence Force for their dedication to national development, noting the numerous contracts he has been approving on their behalf regarding various projects.
Mr Kabesha praised the panel’s contributions, highlighting the importance of defence legal advisors as State Advocates and vital assets to the nation.
The discussion not only underscored the role of military legal professionals but also fostered dialogue on the intersection of defence and economic growth.
