Shared cultural heritage key in regional cooperation – Njobvu
By Francis Chipalo
Democratic Union (DU) president Ackim Antony Njobvu emphasizes that shared cultural heritage is vital for regional cooperation and development among African states.
During the Kulamba traditional ceremony of the Chewa people, Njobvu highlighted the potential for Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, and other neighboring countries to collaborate and drive progress in key areas such as agriculture, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment.
Njobvu believes that by working together, African states can reduce their dependence on European countries and leverage their rich resources to become a global powerhouse.
He stresses that unity is crucial for Africa’s transformation and that traditional ceremonies like Kulamba provide valuable opportunities for meaningful conversations about cooperation and development.
“Let the spirit of Kulamba guide us towards a brighter future where unity translates into tangible action and paves way for shared prosperity and a united Africa,” Njobvu added.
