PRESIDENT HICHILEMA ORDERS FORFEITURE OF MALANJI’S HELICOPTERS TO ZAF FOR HUMANITARIAN USE

President Hakainde Hichilema has reaffirmed his administration’s firm stance against corruption, stressing that the fight is non-selective and guided by the rule of law.

Speaking during an engagement with UPND Lusaka Province party structures, President Hichilema announced that property linked to former minister Joseph Malanji, including helicopters, will be forfeited to the Zambia Air Force (ZAF) for use in humanitarian and emergency operations.

“This is the job Zambians gave me, to fight corruption. Anyone stealing from hospitals or government projects is on their own,” the President said.

He emphasized that all recovered assets will be repurposed for public benefit, underscoring his government’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and prudent management of national resources.

President Hichilema added that the New Dawn administration remains focused on restoring integrity in public service and ensuring that no individual is above the law.

Hasn’t Hon Joe Malanji not given notice to Appeal?
How do you dispose off the property when the Appeal process is in Court?
The Rule of Law demands due process… Anything outside this looks like Jungle law.
So you support thieves???? Appeal on stolen property with an overwhelming conviction??? The appeal will be forthright rejected if not already. No thieves will be spared including their foolish supporters!!!!
He has done that. But you know how Hakainde is with bypassing laws and behaving like a dictator. He has hijacked the judiciary and is very confident that the UPND judges will dismiss the appeal.
This is why we need a sober and fair president to be elected next year to bring back decency to the office of the president.
VOTE FOR CHANGE IN 2026.
Imwe why do you support ba kabwalala kanshi? With full evidence you still support these bloody thieves. The one who Authority the Presidential to fly the millions should be cornered too if not at large.
Appeal…What appeal? Rubbish!
That’s beating a dead horse.
Joseph Malanji and Joseph chilengi, two bogus individuals.
One rose to Ambassador with a fake education background.
The other rose to fake dollar millionnaire with stolen money.
Both started out the thuggish way. Malanji as a caddy at Nkana Golf Club.
Chilengi as a chola boy for politicians during the chiluba days. Bpth
dropped out of school in form three.Their backgrounds alone tells what is really wrong about this country Zambia.Thieves and failures have had it easier and better than genuine and
hard working people. Malanji even boasted that he was a millionnaire by 1992.
Chilengi”s story is known to all old UPND members. He got away with
Mazoka’s bag full of dollars. Just how the two were let to get to top public jobs with their
criminal records tells why Zambia is where it is. Why doesnt anyone take interest to
know the truth about the two in order to learn lessons on how to identify
and stop cheats? Malanji is a proven thug. Learn to establish truth so that he is
forever kept away from public life
Ba UPND media team naimwe! The President cannot order the forfeiture of the choppers. Only the courts have that authority.
The two helicopters have already been forfeited to the state through a court ruling. All the President has done is direct that they be given to ZAF.
There is a huge difference between the two. You should be very careful with your wording, otherwise you will end up casting the President in bad light.
Ba JMC, it seems you did not watch the speech by Hakainde. Please watch it and then come back and comment. The president puts himself in a bad light with his own big mouth. His advisers should do their jobs.
VOTE FOR CHANGE IN 2026.
Bonanza thanks for buying us 2 helicopters.
