RPP COMMENDS GOVERNMENT ON HEALTHCARE AND DEVELOPMENT ACHIEVEMENTS
18th September,2025-The Republican Progressive Party (RPP) would like to commend His Excellency, President Hakainde Hichilema, and the Government of the Republic of Zambia for their continued prioritization of healthcare services and grassroots development across the country.
The recent procurement and distribution of 156 ambulances to constituencies nationwide is a clear demonstration of the government’s commitment to improving healthcare access for all Zambians. This milestone, alongside the provision of Constituency Development Fund (CDF) vehicles, Land Cruisers for police, boats for police and immigration officers, and other resources for rural development, reflects a government focused on practical solutions rather than political gain.
These initiatives address long-standing challenges that previous administrations left unresolved. For example, police officers once lacked reliable vehicles, forcing them to travel on foot for official duties, including visits to prisons. Today, these improvements enhance service delivery, safeguard communities, and support public servants in fulfilling their duties effectively.
We urge the government to prioritize the maintenance of these vehicles and enforce strict penalties for negligence, ensuring their long-term sustainability. We also commend the increase in compensation for public servants injured on duty, rising from K10 to 5 times their basic salary, demonstrating the government’s commitment to valuing those who serve the nation.
RPP acknowledges that critics have questioned why the UPND focuses on CDFs, youth empowerment, and education policy. We assert that these initiatives represent tangible, practical achievements that directly impact communities daily and are worthy of recognition.
We also commend President Hichilema’s recent parliamentary address, particularly his strong stance against corruption, his call for national unity, and his efforts to improve loan repayment systems under CDF. While challenges remain, including electricity supply constraints due to contractual obligations, the government continues to deliver results that benefit all Zambians.
In conclusion, the Republican Progressive Party thanks His Excellency President Hakainde Hichilema and the Government of the Republic of Zambia for these milestone achievements. They are a testament to visionary leadership and a government committed to improving the lives of citizens at all levels.
