(ZANIS) Two Tanzania-Zambia Railway Authority -TAZARA- drivers have lost their lives in an accident involving two locomotives which derailed and overturned in the early hours of Monday.
The accident happened at Bridge number 262, located in Mbozi District, Songwe Region in Tanzania.
TAZARA Head Public Relations Officer, CONRAD SIMUCHILE, has confirmed the accident in a statement.
Mr. SIMUCHILE said the authority deeply regrets the loss of the two drivers.
He explained that the two defective locomotives were being taken from Chozi in Zambia to Mbeya Workshop in Tanzania for repair.
